I didn't have any reason to think it was just straight up piracy, either. So while I didn't demand to read a copy of their license before I let them send me the link to the software. The hoops they made me jump through before they considered me 'Member Enough' to share it with me, certainly looked like they were trying to create a document trail that showed ''Membership' is more than just signing up for the website and asking for CPS.' But I'm neither Motorola's lawyer, nor their dealer, so I really have no reason to know.Ĥ) They take their stewardship of the privilege pretty seriously. I can only assume that if they were habitually pirating Motorola's IP, Motorola wouldn't refresh their Entitlement keys every time they request more.
The total was small, which makes me think it gets refreshed on the regular. And they aren't secret about it, it's on their website, complete with claims that their copy is cryptographically signed, threats that 'IF you use it commercially, Motorola will know,' blah blah blah.ģ) They gave me a wideband entitlement key.
